Must Have Jewelry Trends 2017

Posted on

The most important accessory for fall 2017 is a big, bold piece of statement jewelry. Color is rampant in fall fashion, particularly in greens, amber, and navy. It is fun to mix and match bold and big statements pieces for contrast. Instead of layering and stacking and piling on gemstones in multiple colors, stick to one spectacular piece. Five style trends stand out for this fall: pearls, animal-themes; tassels; bypass rings; and single-gem cocktail rings.

1. Pearl: The choker is one of the most popular trends in jewelry this fall, from simple ribbons to major statement pieces. It can be worn as a pendant, or doubled up as a bracelet.

2. Tassels: This Oravo piece combines the season’s must-have statement cuff with La Nina – a gem-set tassel, one of the most important trends in jewelry. The necklace is covered in Swarovski Crystals in the perfect shade of pacific blue. In a final flourish, the necklace ends with Sterling Silver strands creating a fringe-like tassel.

3. Wild things: Animal motifs, from elephants and owls, are dominating fall jewelry motifs. This Baltic Amber Elephant pendant is set with a rich cognac color.

4. A single-gem cocktail ring. There is nothing more impressive than a massive center stone in a cocktail ring in a single burst of color. The trend is to create a halo of diamonds around the center stone and set the shank as well. This Oravo engagement ring is featured with green Amethyst in a cushion shape. It also features 74 pieces of sparkling machine cut White Cubic Zirconia.

5. Bypass ring: Bypass rings, with overlapped, gemset arms, served as engagement rings in the Victorian era, but they’re making a comeback as non-engagement rings today. This ring is 14K White Gold with genuine Amethyst in oval cut.
